Ok, so yes I am ahead of the game. However I now have 3 large quilts to work on. One for fun, then one for my mom and one for my sister.

I hope you like it Andrea! I had a couple of problems with it, and had to somewhat wing it. But I think it turned out pretty well!

Some blocks

I got Patty and Andrea's blocks done and am almost finished with Christina's and HORRORS my machine is totally jacked-up. I'm not sure how it happened, but I can't fix it. Unfortunately since we live in a small town, I have to drive an hour to take it in to the shop. Arg. So, hopefully it'll be fixed soon and I'll get back on track.

I have received 7 of my squares back. It looks like I haven't received any from the group of ladies that I sent the other grouping of colors to. Hope to see some of them soon!

I have a few things to say. First of all, THANK YOU to Heather, Kim, and Andrea for the beautiful blocks they have sent me! I am eagerly awaiting the rest of yours.
Second, did you know that you can write in this blog using your own blogger ID? You just log into Nestquilt, go to "Settings", "Permissions", and then send yourself an invite.

This second block is something I came up with, mostly because I couldn't find any patterns that would coordinate with the amount of fabric I had left =)

For My Own Quilt

I sent fabric to everyone yesterday, so hopefully you all get it soon. Today I was feeling so inspired by the fabric I chose that I made a block for my quilt. I can't wait to see what you all do with the fabric-I hope the bright colors inspire you too!
I think when I go about the actual quilting, I will quilt some "rays" around that sun up in the corner.
