Strings

I didn't plan on giving this the border, but as usual, I measured wrong by about an inch. Ugh!
Anyway, this is known as a string block. It's one of my favorite kind of blocks to do.

3 down, 4 to go!

Just wanted to let y'all know that I managed to get 3 of 7 blocks done this weekend. I'd planned on having them all done, but I wound up with a housefull of unexpected guests. Unfortunately, I've lost my camera cord, so I don't have pictures, but these three will be going out as soon as I get addresses from Jacki.

I finished Dominique's, Kim's, and Christina's blocks. I started on Helene's first, but I'm going to have to go buy some more brown fabric because apparently my math was off when I cut all the pieces and I cannot get it to 12". (This led to me working on Christina's, just so I'd know I had enough fabric!)
