But I didn't think of this before. When we make out 12x12, it's just the top part, right? (again, I'm still working on my first quilt ever--will post picks when it's done). I guess what I'm asking is, we don't do the batting too, that's up to the person who's month/quilt it is. I just don't want to screw up Jacki's quilt since she's got the first month.

Yep--just the top part. A lot of quilters do their own batting once all of their squares are assembled to each other. Good call on checking though, I think this a great place for us to ask questions like that!
